Rosalind Mae "Rose" Aller

Rosalind Mae "Rose" Aller, 89, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Bright Kavanagh House. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2009 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Rose was born September 17, 1919 in Des Moines. She and her husband Ernie were active members of the Iowa Treasure Hunter's Club for many years and she was Mrs. Claus to her husband’s Santa Claus at numerous Christmas parties. Rose loved visiting and drinking coffee around her dining room table with her family and friends, taking care of her yard and flowers, growing raspberries, playing bingo and going to the casino.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ernest E. Aller, Sr.; granddaughter, Patricia Reeves; son-in-law, Gerald Noland; parents, Margaret (Barr) and Guglielmo Bellotti; sisters, Jessie Sposeto, Evelyn Sposeto, Lillian Smith and Dorothy McWilliams and her brother, James Schminkey. She is survived by her children, Ernest "Sonny" (Ann) Aller, Carolyn Reeves, David (Donna) Aller, Linda (Francie) Anania, all of Des Moines, Michael (Bette) Aller of Sandpoint, ID, Laura Noland of Phoenix, AZ and Mary (Mike) Anderson of Surprise, AZ; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Thelma Florea of Las Cruces, NM and Mildred Romore of Carlisle, IA.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
