Cindy Lynn (Gathercole) Mason passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020, peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family and pets.
Cindy was born on July 12, 1949, in Des Moines, Iowa to Ed and Betty Gathercole. She worked in the trucking industry holding a variety of positions and making some amazing friends along the way. Cindy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite times included garage sales, trips to Tama casino and playing cards. She was an avid NASCAR Fan and enjoyed watching her Green Bay Packers.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Betty Gathercole and her loving companion and pet, Chance.
She is survived by both her children, Theresa (Wade) Eddinger and Dustin (Angie) Mason; her siblings, Mark (Carla) Gathercole, Sue (Dave) Braman; 6 grandchildren, Gary Mason, Travis (Hillary) Miller, Maranda and Gracie Bear, Jake and Baily Eddinger; with one great grandbaby on the way; 4 nieces and nephews, Corey, Brandon and Nichole Quayle, and Lindsay Steele.
Cindy was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to so many. She will be greatly missed and we will hold her in our hearts until we meet again.

I will miss Cindy, my dear friend of 40 plus years. I have so many great memories with her that I will cherish forever. She was a great person that will never be forgotten and will be missed deeply by so many people. RIP Cindy until we meet again!

Cindy will be missed. She was a dear dear friend. We played cards on Tuesday' and Thursday. she had a sweet soul. PTL

Cindy is one of my favorite cousins. We shared so many childhood memories. I will miss going back in time with her as we talked of people and places that were so dear to us and are now gone.
