Nellie Coe

Nellie M. Coe, 92, died Monday, January 22, 2007, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Sandyville Cemetery in Sandyville, IA. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Nellie was born November 16, 1914 to Leroy and Rosa Williams in Milo, IA. She retired from Northwestern Bell in 1980 after 30 years of service. Nellie enjoyed her plants and had a real green thumb. She loved to crochet, cook and spend time with her family.
Nellie is survived by her son, James (Cheryl) Coe; daughter, Rosemary Bowling; daughter-in-law, Corrinne Strong; 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, LaFoy F. “Buck” Coe and son, William Strong.
