Margaret Grandia

Margaret Ann Grandia, 82, was born March 22, 1927 in Des Moines, the daughter of Hal and Sadie (Crane) Brown. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family Sunday, June 28, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Union Park United Methodist Church, 2305 E. 12th Street, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Sheila (Gary) Reeves, Lizabeth Fox, Dana (David) Clement and Suzanne (Allen) Kennedy; eight grandchildren, Gina Robinson, Angela Carman, Jessica Fox, Ryan Fox, Casey Clement, Carly Clement, Samantha Kennedy and Mariah Kennedy; ten great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Shirley (Larry) Peterson; many nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Warren Grandia; her parents; her sisters, Virginia and Erma; and her mother and father-in-law, Ruth and Dutch Grandia.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House or Union Park United Methodist Church in loving memory of Margaret.
