Larry "Dave" Crawford

Larry (Dave) David Crawford, 68, passed away on October 12, 2020, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa. A casual graveside service will be held for family and friends on Friday, October 16, 2020, at 11AM, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Dave was born February 26th, 1952 in Newton, Iowa to Les and Betty Crawford. He graduated from Newton High School in 1970. He married Deb on June 2, 1972, and they had two children, Mark and Matthew. Dave was a hard worker and handyman, using these skills for 25 years at Firestone and Maytag. He loved to travel, especially with his wife. Dave had fond memories of family vacations to Hawaii, Belize, and various locations across America. He made countless trips hunting and fishing with friends & family, but always cherished his time at home with his family and grandchildren. Holidays meant more than making his favorite dishes and candy; it was time spent with family and he never wanted the day to end. Dave was always there to lend a helping hand and that will be missed by all.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Deb, his son Mark (Jenny) Crawford, his grandchildren Luke and Ellie Crawford, and his 5 siblings: Steve (Renea) Crawford, Cindy Barry, Linda (Steve) Adams, Julie Moore, Angel (Mick) Trier, and several nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by his son Matthew, his parents Les and Betty Crawford and his brother Bryan Crawford.
