Patricia Ann Christensen

Patricia Ann Anderson Christensen died Wednesday evening June 17, at Broadlawns Hospital in Des Moines, after a brief illness, surrounded by almost all of her family, and in the excellent care of Broadlawns nurses and doctors.
Patty was born May 13, 1953, in Santa Monica, CA, the second of five children of Pauline and Robert Anderson (Polly and Bob). She grew up mostly in Des Moines, and she attended St. Augustine's School and Roosevelt High School. Patty loved her family - especially her son, Eric, and her grandchildren.
Patty is survived by her father, Bob; by her son, Eric Christensen, and grandchildren Brooklyn and Devlin; by her sisters and brothers Marti Anderson (Bob Brammer), Jeani McMurtrie, Bob Anderson (Molly), and John Anderson (Emmie); by her nieces and nephews, Gabe and Alissa Brammer, Andy and Alex McMurtrie, Lindsey and Samantha and Ryan Anderson, and Jessica and J.J. Anderson; by aunts, an uncle and many cousins; and by many friends.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 19, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 20, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, near the gravesite of Patty's mother, Polly.
