Kelly Jones

Kelly Jones, 48, passed away unexpectedly at Mercy West Lakes
on October 7, 2020. He was born in Des Moines, on June 13, 1972,
to Richard and Sharon (Sheahan) Jones.

Kelly worked in law enforcement as a Correctional Officer.

He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Iowa
Hawkeye enthusiast. Kelly had a great sense of humor and was
best at making others laugh.

Kelly had the most compassionate and giving heart who cherished
his wife and daughter. He loved his pets and spending time
with his nieces and nephews.

Kelly is survived by his loving wife, Shawnnae Jones; beloved
daughter, Maylene Jones; mother, Sharon Jones; father,
Richard Jones; brother, Bryan (Sara) Jones; parents-in-law, Karen and Frank Erickson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Stacey (Darrin) Hager, Katina (Chad) Conner, Jamie (Stacy) Olcott, Debbie (Kevin) McCrea, and Chad (Tina) Erickson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, four-legged furry companion, Chewy; other special relatives and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father-in-law
and two brothers-in-law.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday,
October 12, 2020, at Radiant Church, 1300 Metro East Drive
Ste. 106 in Pleasant Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed
to the family in loving memory of Kelly.
