Herman Dean Chamblee

Herman "Dean" Chamblee, passed away June 7, 2009 with loving family members and friends by his side.
Dean was born July 24, 1938 to William and Lottie Chamblee in Sunray, Texas. He was a proud alumnus of Sunray High School Class of '56 and West Texas State. Dean served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and was a dedicated employee of the Springfield News Leader for a number of years before his retirement in 1999. He was an avid sports fan.
Dean is survived by his brother, Harrell (Sandy) Chamblee of Irving, Texas; along with a number of loving nieces and nephews and other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving companion of 37 years, Ted Lindsey; his mother and father; one brother and one sister.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009 in the Veteran's Section of Laurel Hill Cemetery.
