Edith L. Winingham, 89, was born March 1, 1920 in Albia, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest and Irene (Bettis) Manley. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the Taylor House.
Edith is survived by her sister, Dona King; many nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cecil Winingham; her brother, Wilbur "Wig" Manley and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Oakview Cemetery in Albia, Iowa. Memorial contributions may be made to Grant Park Christian Church or Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House in loving memory of Edith.

Dona, we read in the Albia Newspaper of the death of Edith. We know how close you were and we are sure you will miss her greatly. Please know that you are in our thoughts and we are sorry that we could not attend the burial in Albia due to our work schedule.

Dona, I am so sorry for your loss. I know that you and Edith were very close and shared lots of good times together. I hope those memories comfort you during this time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
