My condolensces to the family and loved ones. I knew Darrett in high school. I'm guessing he hasn't gone by "Woody" in a long time but that's how alot of us knew him and he was so great. He always brought energy, positivity and fun to our high school experience. God bless.

Darrett was an amazing tribute to how we should treat each other. He had an unbelievable way of remembering small things and always called you by name. He remembered my husband and my children after only meeting them briefly. What an art! He had the most beautiful smile and welcomed all to the hospital food service. He will be missed.

When you say his name the only thing that comes to mind is this big beautiful smile that could light up a room if it were dark. We have all lost a wonderful friend today and Heaven gainded one. So glad I got to meet Darrett.

Darrett was the best ambassador to the hospital I have ever seen. He was always a bright spirit. I just commented on his game day outfit on Wed, Sept.30. We had a nice chat. I'm so sorry for your loss. He will surely be missed. A great human.

Darrett was such a huge part of our team here at IMMC, I got to work with him personally as he shadowed my position at the hospital. He always had a positive attitude and thank our team several times over for the time and knowledge he gained from us. The pleasure was all on our side, I was grateful to have known him. Prayers to his family at this difficult time. So sorry for your loss

Darrett's light shined so brightly. His impact was felt in the way he shined authentic kindness and concern onto all he met. He lived God's love in action and had a servant's heart. Darrett welcomed every opportunity to make his love be felt. I will never forget his smile and positive energy. My heart is heavy and saddened for his family. What a blessing he was to so many and his legacy will never be forgotten here at UnityPoint.

Sending my sincerest condolences to Darrett's family. I met Darrett at work. I enjoyed every day at lunch when I got to see him. He would give me a big grin and greeting; " Grease is the one" and then "Hey, Sandra Dee" always made my day a little brighter! A very special guy, and he will be greatly missed.

Darrett was a blessing to many at UnityPoint. He was a smiling face, a welcoming face. He had such an impact on so many peoples lives - more than he probably realized.
To Darrett's family - You are in my prayers and please know how much Darrett meant to his UnityPoint family.

Thank you to Darrett's family for sharing him with us for so many years. Ms. Turner you did an amazing job raising him! He was such a memorable guy. My son joined me for lunch one day and we went thru Darrett's line and my son continues to inquire about him as he made such an impact. My thoughts are with you all.
