Rodney Dean Brown passed away September 30, 2020.
Rodney was born on September 17, 1961 to Everette and Mary Brown in Leon, Iowa. He was an over the road truck driver who had logged over five million miles.
He loved going to the casino, being outdoors whether it be fishing, hiking or just enjoying nature. His greatest joy in life was hosting pool parties where he could be together with his family and friends. Rodney was incredibly generous and was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need; a true worker of God.
Rodney is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Debra; children, Donna Hunter, Joshua Brown, Michael Bell, Christopher Bell, Roni Davidson, and Aaron Davidson; 18 grandchildren; mother, Mary W. Brown; siblings, Sandra Burgos, Roger (Anita) Brown, and Mary (Patrick) Hemann; friend and four legged companion, Lilly.
He is preceded in death by his father; granddaughter, Kylie Hunter; brothers, Gregory and Norman; and beloved Chihuahua, Chico.
Rodney will be laid to rest at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
