Richard R. Meyer

Richard Russell Meyer, age 57, passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Rich was born June 10, 1963 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Howard and Mary (Moseman) Meyer. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1982. While in high school, he lettered in swimming. He enjoyed watching football on Saturdays and Sundays and was a Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburg Steelers fan.

He is survived by his brother, Michael Meyer and his wife, Maggie Meyer of Omaha, NE; nieces, Allie and Chloe Meyer of Council Bluffs, IA; cousins: Margo Koehler, Ann Koehler, and David and Joan Koehler of Scottsbluff, NE, Joel and Wendy Goodwin and Marty Meyer of Hendersen, NC, Tom and Maureen Bull of Littleton, CO, Jerry and Connie Bull of Indiana, Bob and Barb Bischoff of Omaha, NE, Jim and Debbie Gosch of Elkhorn, NE, David Meyer of Michigan, Nate and Anita Moore of Bellingham, WA, and Alan Sawyer of Albuquerque, NM.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mary Meyer; many aunts and uncles; and his cousin, Jeff Meyer.

There will be a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2020 at Glendale Cemetery, 4909 University Avenue, Des Moines.
