Gerald W. “Jerry” Thomas, 86, passed away on September 28, 2020 in Des Moines. He was born June 6, 1934 in Wayne County to George and Atha (Boothe) Thomas.
He is survived by his children, Wayne (Michelle) Thomas, Gregg (Diane) Thomas and Tonia Thomas; grandchildren, Rachelle (Ryan) North, Brandon Thomas and Charissa (Stephen) Porter; great-grandchildren, Kaeli, Alexa, Lilyan, Emmalyn and Felicity; siblings, Roger Thomas and Carol Stroud.
Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gloria.
He will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

My thoughts and prayers are for you Wayne, Greg and Tonia. Your dad and mom were so good to me during my two summers in Des Moines. They truly shared Christs love to a lonely college kid.
