Dear Donna, Scott, Colleen, Steven, Holly, and Family:
On behalf of the Des Moines North High School class of 1959, we wish to express our most sincere condolences on the passing of our good friend and classmate, Ian Thompson last Friday. Ian and I were on the track team together and ian was a valued member of the senior class picnic committee. Ian was quiet in high school, had a beautiful Everly Brothers hair style, and was well liked and thought of by both classmates and the teaching staff. Ian had quite a sense of humor and was always very kind to others. We so much appreciated both Ian and Donnas attendance at our quarterly class breakfasts which were held at the Drake Diner. I know from talking with both Ian and Donna, they were a wonderful Christian couple and valued members at Mt Olive Lutheran Church. Our thoughts and prayers will be with each of you in the days that lie ahead.
