Amy Kathleen Hanrahan
Of Pleasant Hill, Iowa
Amy Hanrahan, age 45, passed away at her home on Saturday, September 26, 2020. She was born on September 17, 1975 in Des Moines, Iowa. Amy graduated from Dowling High School and attended Loras College and Purdue University, where she earned a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 14 years, Michael Hanrahan; beloved daughter, Mia Hanrahan; parents, Charles and Ruth Hanrahan; sister, Heather (Ron) Tischer; numerous nieces and nephews; and other loving relatives and many special friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 3300 Easton Blvd, Des Moines.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family for her daughter Mia.

I went to Loras with Amy and remember how many boys gushed over how beautiful she was, and how they would blow up pictures from the "Meet and Greet" paper and Amy's was #1! More importantly, she was smart, funny and kind. I will remember her for these qualities most. I am shocked to hear of her passing. May a hedge of protection be placed around the hearts, minds, and souls of the people she leaves behind here on Earth.

I am so deeply sorry for lost. I had the great privelage of being Amy's friend and locker partner in High School. i loved her many things, her kindness and her smarts but her killer sense of humor stole the show.

My deepest sympathies to out to all of Amy's family and loved ones. I went to high school with Amy and have nothing but positive, warm memories. She was comprehensively gracious and kind to everyone she encountered. I am so very sorry.

I am at a loss for words. Amy was a good friend of mine growing up. She was always someone i looked up to. So smart kind and beautiful. My heart goes out to her husband daughter and family. Thinking of you all.
