Here's the final version...
Steven Paul Boeckholt, age 53 of Des Moines, was taken from this earth too soon on September 22, 2020. He is flying high with the angels, finally at peace.
Steve was born in Des Moines on May 26, 1967 to Donald and Ruth Boeckholt. He attended North High School until 1986, then worked as a CNC machinist.
Steve was a true outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed fishing, bow hunting, moral mushroom hunting and camping. He also loved to play darts and slow dance.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a son, Ben, a daughter, Sarah, 3 step-daughters, a step-son, 2 sisters, and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Steve will be truly missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Steve on Tuesday, October 6th at 4pm in the enclosed shelter at Pioneer Park in Des Moines.
Memorials can be made to Luther Memorial Church and JOPPA in Des Moines.
