Larry Dean Keul, 75, passed away on September 22, 2020 at his home. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 3, 1945.
Larry was a union glazer for more than 15 years and a member of the Teamster’s for 5 years. Along with his wife Donna, he co-owned Donna’s Lounge for 38 years. He loved classic cars, car shows and had won several trophies for his classic cars. He was a member of the Concrete Cruiser Car Club. Larry enjoyed fishing and playing pool.
Larry is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Holly (Rick) Hawxby, Mike Brookes, Larry Jr., (Michele) Keul, Kurt (Lisa) Keul and Melissa (Alvie) Allen; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a host of beloved family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 12:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm prior to services. Burial will take place at Dallas Cemetery in Melcher-Dallas, Iowa.

Larry, You were the son I never had. I will always miss your phone calls, just to touch base &/ or to give advise on how to take care of my lawn & car. I will always remember and love you. 'My son'.
