Thomas W. Hyden

Thomas William Hyden, age 34, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020.

Thomas was born July 9, 1986 in Des Moines, Iowa to Dennis Sr. and Dorothy (Sanders) Hyden. He was one of six siblings. Thomas loved the outdoors, especially spending time at the beach and swimming, and getting around on his electric scooter. He was a very talented artist and drawing was his passion. Thomas enjoyed listening to music and was a big Eminem fan. He was also really liked superheroes and their stories, and the Joker and the Flash were his favorites.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Hyden; father, Dennis (Kelli) Hyden; siblings, Julie Crawford (Andrew), Dennis Hyden Jr. (Dianne), Michelle Marquez (Juan), Brenda Outlaw, and Brandy Webber (Jason); 18 nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Thomas was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy and Donald Boley, Mildred Clarke, and Thomas Sanders; uncle, Richard Boley; and great-niece, Lillie Cooper.

There will be a memorial service Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Commerce Community Church, 4007 High Street, West Des Moines, IA 50265 starting at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Thomas.
