Service Details
Donna Deeds was born March 20, 1944. She was a life-long resident of Des Moines, proudly graduating from East High School. Donna met her husband Steve at work, and they were married for 31 years. She enjoyed gardening and always planted earlier than most, which yielded a great harvest. She loved her dogs and is survived by her dogs Daisy and Lilly. Donna’s faith in Jesus was an important part of who she was. She read through the Bible twice each year. She had a deep faith and was expectantly looking for the return of Jesus anytime.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Deeds; parents, Carl and Alice Beeman and her brother, Larry Beeman. Donna is survived by her brother, Jack (Marsha) Beeman of Windsor Heights as well as her nephew, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Just found out today. Only got to see Donna at our East High luncheons we had for our class every six months and I missed the last one we had thinking I would be at the next one which, thanks to Covid, never happened. Will miss our visits.

I am so sorry for your loss. Donna was a great person and friend and she will be deeply missed! I hope Lilly and Daisy are doing ok! While my dog Stanley & I were out on our walks, we frequently stopped by to see Donna, Lilly, and Daisy .I always enjoyed our visits. We had been stopping by the house to see her and I had been wondering why I hadn't seen her or the dogs. I didn't know that she had passed away until recently when her neighbor told me. Stanley still wants to stop at her house when we walk by.

Sorry to hear about Donna - I worked with her years ago at Coastal Mart. I remember her as a very sweet person and a good friend. I seen her at Walgreens a few months ago and we had a good visit.
