Richard “Dick” Alan Larsen, 77, was born January 25, 1943 in Des Moines, the son of Herbert and Dorothy (Ross) Larsen. He passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
After many years of faithful service, Dick retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber. He enjoyed classic cars and going to the races.
Dick is survived by his loving wife, Michele Larsen; children, Doug (Missie) Larsen and Krista Paddock; step-children, Jenett Tillotson and Larry (Dana) Tillotson; grandchildren, Cassidy, A.J., Alex, Nick, Brett, Michael, Jacob, Nathan, Ryan and Alyssa; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister-in-law, Karol and her daughter, Pamela; numerous nieces and nephews; other loving relatives and many special friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold and Herb.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 1701 8th St. SW in Altoona.

We are so sorry to hear about the loss of Dick, our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.. We'll always remember our visits with him at the car club and car shows.. Remember all the good memories you have with him .

I have known Dick for over 60 years He was a car guy from the word go rather it be a show car or a race car Dick was there to help out. When I first met him he was helping a friend restore a model a coupe. He will be greatly missed by all people at car shows.
