Debbie Kline
August 25, 2020
Debbie Kline, 65, was born October 29, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa to Sammy and Jean Rich. She passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Unity Point Iowa Methodist Hospital.
Debbie was a proud mom of four who never missed a game. She was the mom with snacks who knew every kids name on the team, and became best friends with the parents. Debbie had many longtime friends. We will always remember Debbie as the one who cheered us on, who helped us see the bright side, and genuinely loved us well...no matter what. Debbie was a fighter. Some call it stubbornness, but we like to call it determination. Debbie fought health challenges for more than two decades, but rarely let it slow her down. She was determined to be present and live life to its fullest with those she loved, and those she just met.
Her light is still so bright, and will continue to shine through her loving husband of 33 years, Joe; children, Samantha Jean Kline, Niki Anne Kline, Brian James (Devon) Kline, and Jeffrey Joseph (Tori) Kline; grandchildren, Taner, Tara, Jameson, Bowen, Wyatt, Trygg, Barrett, and Charley; siblings, Barry (Nancy) Cook and Cheri (Mike) Parton; and a host of other loving relatives and many special friends.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2020 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family respectfully asks guests to wear masks and practice social distancing. Debbie will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Debbie.

My deepest condolences to the Kline family.
Debbie was the kind of Team Mom her obituary aptly describes. She treated her kids' teammates like they were her own and looked out for us. She made a positive impact on our lives and immeasurable impact on the lives of her family. She will be missed but never forgotten.
May God bless and comfort the Klines.

Debbie was one of the sweetest kindest most beautiful woman inside and out. Met in high school and remained friends for a very long time. Great memories at the ball park. Her ringing that cow bell was hilarious. She was a true dedicated mother and wife. They were her everything. She is now with the rest of the angels in heaven. God bless you and your family. Mine and Shanes prayers are with you.

We first met Debbie when she was Brians preschool teacher. Joe then became Brians baseball coach. Those were the best years of games and lots of fun for many of us. She was such a caring mama, grma, and friend. She is going to be greatly missed by so many of us

Jeff and family, I am so sorry for your great loss. Even before reading Debbie's obituary, the words "bright light" immediately came to mind to describe Debbie. She was generous with her love, hugs, and support. When I think of Debbie, I also think of her in the stands at every Dowling football game watching Jeff with her proud smile. Sending my love to you during this difficult time.
