Fred L. Madison

Fred L. Madison, 65, passed away May 28, 2009 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Visitation will be held Monday, June 1, 2009, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, Iowa. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Fred was born in Des Moines, Iowa on February 26, 1944 to Robert and Mabel (Thompson) Madison.
He was in the US Army and a cement finisher for 50 years. Fred enjoyed picnics with his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a strong and avid worker.
He is survived by his wife, Margie; sons, Gary (Spring), and Tim (Judy), daughters; Jerri (Carl), Jackie (Darrell), and Sherri (Tim); brother, Dale; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be directed to either Mercy Hospice or to the family.
