James Leon Roberson

James L. Roberson, 76, passed away at his home May 28, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
James was born July 22, 1932. He was a custodian with the West Des Moines Public Schools until his retirement in 1998.
James is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ina; five children, Sheila Price, Lisa Roberson, David Roberson, Mike Roberson and Rick Roberson; three step-sons, Dick Blackford, Greg Blackford and Steve Blackford; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one step great-great-grandson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League.
