LeRoy Bean

Leroy Louis Bean, 93, passed away January 19 at Wesley Acres. A family memorial service is planned later.
Leroy was born July 8, 1913 in West Point, Iowa. He attended Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and worked for the Chicago Tribune, in the business office at Iowa State University, the munitions plant in Burlington and retired from the Insurance General Adjustment Bureau in Mount Prospect, IL
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth and a brother, Jim. Leroy is survived by his children, Larry Bean of Sedona, AZ, Linda Mulvey of Canoga Park, CA, Steven Bean of Charlotte, NC and Mary Bean of Albuquerque,NM., grandchildren, Brian Bean of Earlham and Jeff Bean of St. Charles, Joe Mulvey of Portland, Oregon; and 4 great grandchildren, Tanner, Haley, Sterling and Spencer Bean
