When the clouds part and a ray of sun shines through
We look to the sky; and think of you.
You see our tears and feel our ache
We breathe you in with each breath we take
There is no need to miss, what is not gone
For you are right here, where you belong
You are the suns warmth on our face
Guiding us through this dark place
You are the whisper of the wind through the night.
That gentle sparkle in a stars light
You are like a rainbow after a summers rain
Dazzling, vivid colors no one could ever tame
You are the elegance found after a first snow
That bright, beautiful,blinding glow
You made your own path from the start
And we continue to carry your smiles in our heart
When we stop to think of all we'll miss
Look around and think of this
Something so special & rare could never fade
Forever living in the music you've made
Because when the clouds part and that ray of sun shines through
We will smile, knowing that glimmer is you.
We will always love you TC

I don't know if I ever had a conversation with Terry but, I always knew who he was from racing. I know that he was at the first race I attended back in 1990 and at almost every one since then. I always admired the fact that Terry was such a life- long fixture in Iowa motocross. I can only imagine that he must have had a deep love for the sport to compete so often, and for such a large portion of his life. I am saddened to hear of his passing, and my prayers go out to his family and friends. I hope there is a great track waiting for him in heaven. Hopefully I can put in some motos with him when I get there.

My heart goes out to Terry's family, he will be so missed. We first met back in the 80's and got to know each other better in recent years. He could always tell a joke or a story like nobody else. His confidence and passion for what ever he did was admirable. I've never known a man to break so many bones doing what he loved to do - he never complained of pain. Terry was my friend and I'll miss him dearly.

The world needs more guys like Terry Chumbley. A real guy that can tell you like it is. And has the heart to keep it real. And to see the humor in things
that at times went wrong. You will be rememberd my friend. And so will the trip to Jamaica.

To Terry's family,
I was saddened to hear of his passing. I dated Terry 30 years ago and had the best time. I got to catch up with him a couple of years ago and it was so good to see him and talk about the old days. He would always play me my favorite song. I will miss him.
