Beatrice "Betty" Wright

Beatrice Evelyn "Betty" Wright, 89, passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 as a result of congestive heart failure at the Bright Kavanagh House. Funeral services will be held 10 am Friday at Easton Place United Methodist Church, 2412 Easton Blvd. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Betty was born February 6, 1920 in McComb, IL. She had been the Church Secretary at Easton Place United Methodist Church for more then 30 years. Betty was very active in the Circles of the Church. She taught 3rd grade Sunday School and included all of the Church members as former students of hers. Betty's greatest joy was being with her family and taking care of her grandchildren and great and great great grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Bea English; her granddaughters, Peggy (Jeff) Funaro, Kim Irving and Tanya (Jeff) Stark; her great granddaughters, Tiffani, Kaileigh, Alisha and Ashleigh Funaro, great grandsons, Nathan and Tyler Irving and Luke Stark; great great grandsons, Brylan and Nevin Irving. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Verle.
