Patsie Elaine Robinson Lewis, 70, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa of COPD, emphysema. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. Burial will be at Ankeny Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Patsie was born on April 11, 1939, to Ivel Lorrain and Leta Mae Grandstaff Harlan near Unionville, Putnam, MO. The family lived
on a farm south of Unionville, on County road F, north of Burnett Cemetery, Sullivan Co., MO. A farmer's daughter, she attended Dodson, a one-room school, for her elementary education, graduating from Unionville High School in the class of 1957.
She married Gary L. Robinson in 1957, in Putnam Co., MO and established residence in Polk Co., IA in 1960. She later married Clifford D. Lewis for 32 years. In her later years she enjoyed researching genealogy, and contact with relatives and friends.
Survivors include spouse, Clifford D. Lewis, of Ankeny, IA; her three sons, Rickey (Linda) Robinson of Ankeny, IA, Roger (Debra) Robinson of Council Bluffs, IA and Russell Robinson of Ankeny, IA; one step-daughter, Tina Edwards of Oklahoma City, OK; one step-son, John Armstrong of Oklahoma City, OK; five grandchildren, Andrew (Stephanie) Robinson of Columbia, SC; Thomas Robinson of Ankeny, IA; Matthew, Melissa, and Amy Robinson all of Omaha, NE; one stepgrandson, Bryan Larson of Norwalk, IA; two stepgranddaughters, Kala Lewis and Ksie Edwards of Oklahoma City, OK; her mother, Leta Mae (Mamie) Harlan of Unionville; MO; her sister, Beverly Perkins of Urbandale, IA. Niece and nephews include Dennis, Kevin, Steven, Jeffery Harlan and Donna Schoonover; Beverly Harlan, Connie Kane, Judy Fuscina, Russell Rand, Carol Johnson; Tami Perkins, Tonja Reinhardt, Tricia Perkins; sister-in-law, Mary Harlan and brother-in-law, Darwin (Yvonne) Lewis.
She is preceded in death by her father; a son, Rodney Alan Robinson; her brothers, Donald E. Harlan, Adrian L. Harlan; nephew, Randy Harlan, sister-in-law, Patricia Garr, and brother-in-law, Jerry Perkins.
