Josiah Levi Baartman

Josiah Levi Baartman was unexpectedly born early at 35 weeks and 3 days on August 14, 2020 at 11:37 PM. He weighed 2 lbs. 6 oz., was 14” long and was so perfect.

He arrived an angel and will always and forever be a special part of our family. With so much happiness also comes so much grief, but we trust in knowing that he is being cradled in Jesus’s arms and we can’t wait to meet him again someday.

Josiah is survived by his mother, Amanda Baartman and father, Brian Baartman; big brother, Judah Baartman; Papa Mark Hatlestad and Gigi Bobbie Hatlestad, Grandma Marcie Baartman and Grandpa Gary Baartman; and his aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A private graveside service will be held later this week at Oakdale Cemetery in Adel, IA.
