Michelle E. Jackson
July 31, 2020
Michelle Elaine Jackson was born April 10, 1991, to Gary and Judith (Childress) Jackson in Des Moines, Iowa. She was an avid competitive swimmer for East High School, from where she graduated, and for Des Moines Swim Team. Her family was her top priority and she was an outstanding mom. Being a mom was one of her greatest joys. Michelle was very active. She enjoyed going for walks with her family, going out to dinner, and she loved super hero movies. When she smiled her whole body would smile and her eyes would light up.
Michelle was a daddy’s girl, who never knew a stranger. She was bubbly, determined, fearless, and known to be a little stubborn.
Michelle started at ArtForce as a student, and progressed into production management. There she helped kids get their GEDs, get jobs, and get accepted to college. She was an integral part of fundraising for ArtForce. She was inspired by John Mark to pursue this path in her life.
She was the face of United Way, and was very involved in her community.
Words cannot express how deeply Michelle will be missed by all who knew her.
Michelle passed away Friday, July 31, 2020 at the age of 29. She is survived by her husband, Mike Curl; daughter, Chloe Curl; parents, Gary (Deborah) Jackson and Judy Jackson; siblings, DeMarco (Amber) Turner-Jackson, Raymond (Angela) Jackson; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of extended family and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m, with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Michelle.

Judy, Ray and Gary
My heart is broken for you all.., Im so, so sorry for your families pain and the far too soon departure of your daughter and sister.
In the sadness of life where we reach the end of days with the one we love. Mere words of comfort swirl around us in a haze of dizziness as we walk numbly through the days of final goodbyes.
My hope for you all, is the words and prayers and memories, offered from all the hearts touched by your families loss; will find you later when you can receive them and they shall buoy your spirit.
I lift you all up in prayer as you face a new walk in this world without your beloved child...
Love you all.

Michelle,
We love you so much. When I think of you, a smile comes to my face. I can feel the welcome vibe of love, thoughtfulness, and sunshine you exude. Since early family vacations when you were a little girl, I remember how you would proudly pronounce our state as Colorada We will miss you dearly and treasure our memories for eternity! Rest In Peace.

Judy, I am so saddened to hear of Michelles passing. As a nurse in the Pediatric Specialty clinic, I always enjoyed working with the two of you; enjoyed the playfulness of your relationship with each other. I know how your heart is aching. You have my deepest sympathy.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can always remember being at her house or her being at my house when we were kids. They were some of the best memories that I have. She was always sweet and kind. She definitely will be missed.
