Ruth Pauli

Ruth Pauli, 72, died Sunday, May 10, 2009 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Per her request, her body has been donated to Des Moines University. A celebration of Ruth's life will be held Friday, May 15, 2009 from 4-7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus 1111 West 35th Street Davenport, Iowa
Ruth was born October 1, 1937 in Delmar, Iowa to Leo and Ruth (Grumley) Cranny. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in DeWitt, Iowa. In 1956 she married Lloyd Pauli. Ruth was previously employed by Genesis Hospital and Ridgecrest Retirement Village. During retirement she lived in Phoenix during the winter months and Des Moines for the remainder of the year. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She will be fondly remembered for her annual Easter egg hunt she held for her grandkids, nieces and nephews and any other person who showed up.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Theresa (Tim) Even of Des Moines, her sons, Keith of Bettendorf, Duane of Urbandale, Lloyd (Karla) of Moline, Curt of Phoenix and Steven of Mt. Pleasant, a brother, Joseph (Peg) Cranny of Bowling Green, Ohio and a sister, Rosemary (Gene) Knutson of Davenport. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter; Elizabeth, a brother; Dennis and her sister in law; Jean Cranny.
