Alice Porter

Alice Porter, 81, died Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Fleur Heights Care Center. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 2nd & Madison. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. A private family burial will be held at Resthaven Cemetery.
Alice is survived by her son, Scott (Kimberley) Porter; grandsons, Jason and Chad Coughennower and Justin Porter; two great-grandchildren, all of Des Moines; sister, Lorna Henrichs; and brother, Don (Arlene) Cholcher, both of Saginaw, MI; sisters-in-law, Wanda Turner and Gloria Riley, both of Texas. She was preceded in death by her daughter Laurie (Porter) Coughennower; husband, Eugene Porter; sisters, Arlerne Burk and Lorraine Dexter; and her brother, Karl Cholcher.
