Cathryn Ann Winter Norrgard

Cathryn Ann Winter Norrgard, 69 years, currently of Pleasant Hill, died Saturday May, 9, 2009 at Mercy Hospital.
Cathryn was born in Des Moines and was a graduate of North High School, Grand View College, Central College and the University of Northern Iowa. She taught English in high schools and community colleges in Iowa her entire career and retired from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa.
Cathryn was an accomplished organist, serving many congregations since her freshman year in college. She was a member of Central Iowa Chapter, American Guild of Organists and the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians. Cathryn was a member of Capitol Hill Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Lois Hastings (Steven) of Lakebay, WA., aunts, an uncle, cousins and many friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Earl and Lucile (Frey) Winter and her husband Rev. Clyde L. Norrgard.
Services will be at Capitol Hill Lutheran Church at 10 am on Saturday, May 16, 2009. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow the service. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Madrid, IA.
Memorial gifts may be designated to Capitol Hill Lutheran Church Endowment Fund.
