Service Details
C.J. Summers, 47, died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Iowa Methodist Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
C.J. was born January 15, 1962 to Charles and Dorothy Summers. He drove a bus for Paratransit and Metro Transit for 28 years.
C.J. is survived by his wife, Theresa; daughters, Tiffany Cross and her husband, Benjamin and Kayla Aguilar, and her husband, Oscar; brother, Chuck Summers, and his wife, Bonnie; family dog, Simba; as well as many nieces; nephews; and beloved family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

Theresa and family - I know that no words can help the heartache you feel and there will always be an empty place in your hearts. But, the Lord has promised that we will all be together again in a wonderful place called Heaven. So, remember all the good times you've had and know greater times are yet to come. Dear Teresa,
You and your family have been in my prayers, often. I am so sorry for your loss. You and CJ were such good friends, I know you will miss him terribly. It's hard to believe that both your girls are married and I'm so happy CJ could see them. I already have plans for Sunday but I will see if I can come by briefly. I doubt I can attend the funeral, but my thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you and the girls.

We are so sorry to hear of C.J. passing. We only met him a few times, but we know Tiffany and she is such a dear person and we know she thought the world of her Dad. Only few months ago she shared with us the death of my father, Ben's grandfather.
We just want you to know that we are all family now and if there is anything that Junior and I can do, please let us know.

I was saddened to hear of CJ's death. Please accept my sympathy for your sad loss. CJ was such a wonderful person, and so many people will miss him. CJ bought pleasure to everyone he met and will be sadly missed. Please call if there is anything I can do. May the love of family and friends comfort you. My fond respects to you and yours.
