Service Details
Edgar Snyder, 87, died Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Gospel Assembly Church, of which he was a member, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 N.W. 60th Ave.
Edgar was born June 12, 1921 in Corpus Christi, TX to Edgar and Gladys Snyder. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Edgar retired from Ruan Co. after many years of service.
Edgar is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Norma Snyder; sons, Michael (Kounthong) Snyder and Rodney (Miriam) Snyder; and grandchildren, Heather, Merissa, Trevor and Zachary.

Bro. Snyder (as I called him) was a good man who always treated me with kindness. I always enjoyed opening the church doors for him when I was an usher--he was always a ray of sunshine. He was the salt of this earth. He is missed. My deepest thoughts, the meditations of my heart, are with Bro. Snyder's family and friends during this time.
