Violet Alexander

Violet Alexander, 69, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Scotch Ridge Church, with burial at Scotch Ridge Cemetery.
Violet was born May 6, 1939 in Allendale, MO to Mary and Raymond Paxson. She was a member of Scotch Ridge Church. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing cards, and spending time with her family. She was a very loving and kind woman, who was never forgotten by those who met her.
Violet is survived by her loving husband Richard; her children: David (Patricia), Douglas (Justine), and Darren (Jessie) Alexander; her grandchildren: Samuel, Renee, Hailey, Riley, and Trinity Alexander; and her sister Verla Damman. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Vane, her brothers: Vince, Vernon, Victor, and Virgil Paxson; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Scotch Ridge Church or Hospice of Central Iowa in loving memory of Violet.
