We are so sorry to have lost this classy lady. We talked with cousin Sandy several times a year, always made time to see her every summer driving through Des Moines for a family reunion and sent gift baskets at Christmas which always brought a delightful phone call. She was the most joyful person with a terrific sense of humor and positive outlook. We are going to miss Sandy so much. The world has lost a class act!

I worked for the Department of Natural Resources, with Sandy, for many years and the Conservation Commision before that. I also enjoyed having lunch, for the past twelve years with her, which she organized every month, along with other retired D.N.R. employees. She organized the lunch long before that.
She almost always had a beautiful smile on her face and something cheerful and kind to say. She had a great sense of humor. She was a classy lady that was always groomed to perfection. I will miss her.

I grew up with Sandra Jo - she lived a block away. We spent a lot of time in each other's homes and shared many stories and laughs over those early years. We reconnected at each East reunion; I shall miss seeing her.

Sandy was one of my very dearest friends. We graduated high school in 1954 together. The past few years we took many trips together. I loved her very much. The world is now a poorer and sadder place!
