Francisco Tavera

Francisco Tavera, Sr. “Pancho”, age 61, passed away Friday, July 17, 2020. He was born April 2, 1959 in Guanajuato, Mexico to Bartolo and Juana Tavera Carreras. He enjoyed taking care of his family, gardening, and cooking. Most of all, he loved celebrations with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Barron; sons, Francisco Tavera, Jr., Oscar Tavera, Cristian Tavera, Giovanni Tavera, Angel Tavera; brother, Juan Tavera; four sisters; his father, Bartolo Tavera; and many other loving family and friends.

Francisco was preceded in death by his mother, Juana Carreras and brother, Alberto Tavera.

Services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. There will be a graveside service at Glendale Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
