Charles "Chuck" Knight, Sr.

Charles "Chuck" Knight, Sr., 54, passed away at his home Monday, April 27, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Chuck was born July 16, 1954 in Des Moines. He was a bus driver for the Des Moines Public Schools and a member of Southside Assembly Church. Chuck was a competitive weight lifter and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Dottie; children, Cindy (Joe) Le Clair, Jamie (Mike) Henrichs, Billi Jo Bailey, Charles Knight, II and Tara Guerrero; mother, Frances Kirk; sisters, Debbie Knight and Deanna Booth; grandmother, Janice Tipton; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Allison Knight; sister, Peggy Fausett; step-father, Jim Kirk; and his grandfather, Charles Tipton.
