Peggy Ann Kuhns, 83, passed away July 14, 2020 at the Carlisle Care Center.
Peggy was born June 1, 1937 in Guthrie Center, Iowa to Ralph and Ruth Ann (Crees) Flynn. She married the one and only love of her life, Ora Kuhns in 1954. The couple resided on the East side of Des Moines and were blessed with three children, Suzanne, Cynthia and Eric. They were married for 45 years prior to Ora’s death. She retired from National By-Products Lab in Johnston after many years of service. Peggy was a very good artist. She wrote recitations, poems and lullaby songs for each of her three children, singing to them and rocking them to sleep. Peggy was an excellent cook, homemaker and beloved mother, friend and grandmother. She also was a very comical lady, and her beautiful blue eyes sparkled when she laughed.
Peggy is survived by her children, Suzanne Hicks, Cynthia Finley and Eric Kuhns; grandchildren, Stephanie, Christian, Alexis and Tawney; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ora.
Services are pending at this time.

Peggy and Joe would reminiscent together of the days of ZZ Tap, when her family member owned it. Prayers of peace as her family is dealing with the loss of such an amazing person. So sorry for your families loss. Ora and Peggy used to attend the same church with us years ago. We always enjoyed visiting with them at different church functions. Peggy was always smiling and easy to make laugh. When they lived on
Hull Ave we would drive by and every once in awhile they would be outside so we would honk and wave and Peggy always had that great smile. Remember the past and cherish your memories. We will of Ora and Peggy.
