Kenneth L. Johnson

Kenneth Leroy Johnson, 83, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.

Ken was born November 8, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa to Harry and Ruth (Walton) Johnson. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and worked as a certified public accountant during his working years. He volunteered at Powell Aftercare for over 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Foster; daughter, Sheri (Richard) Johnson-Phelps and their daughter Maya; step-children, Scott (Dawn) Foster, Randy Foster, Linda (Kimberley) Foster, Lance (Sarah) Foster, and Becky (Duane) Blankenship; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Melvin Johnson and Bill (Mary) Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ruth Johnson; son, Rodger Johnson; and brother, Robert Johnson.

There will be no services held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Powell CDC in loving memory of Ken.
