Geraldine L. "Gerre" Coulson

Geraldine "Gerre" L. Coulson, 87, died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Valley View Village. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday April 29, 2009 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. A private family burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery at a later date.
Gerre was born April 16, 1922 to Maurice and Myrtle Stiner in Iowa Falls. She graduated from Iowa Falls High School and moved to Des Moines in 1945. Gerre worked 19 years as an Executive Secretary for the Sales Department at Armstrong Tire and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Free Church.
Gerre is survived by her sisters, Mildred Lehman of Emmetsburg and Irene Wagaman of Des Moines; brother-in-law, Ted (Rose Mary) Coulson of Des Moines; and many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin "Jim" Coulson.
Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Valley View Village.
