Richard M. Phipps

Richard "Dick" M. Phipps, 66, passed away Saturday at the Bright Kavanagh House. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Dick was born December 11, 1942 in Des Moines to Milton and Nelly Phipps. He worked at Precision Industries for 22 years. Dick loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed wood carving, computers, hunting and fishing.
Dick is survived by his wife, Sharon, his children, Richard A. Phipps, Frank Sly, Tammy Thomas, Tim Sly and Mike Phipps; His sisters, Patty Walker and Anita Speck; his half brother, Larry Phipps; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
