Marlon Dean Little was born August 6, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa to Merle and Esther (Thompson) Little.

Marty loved his family above all else. His daughters and his grandchildren meant the world to him. He had many close friends and loved them as if they were family too. Marty was an extremely hard working, dedicated man. He was a huge help to many and was lovingly referred to as “Mr. Fix-It-Up”. Marty loved to ride his motorcycle, fishing, bowling, and skating.

Marty passed away peacefully Sunday, June 21, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 59 years old.

He is survived by his daughters, Christina Little (Brandin) and Michelle Little (Chris); grandchildren, Cameron, BraeLynn, Averie, and Hayden; mother of his children, Lorrie Little-May; siblings, Linna Allman, Dale Little, and Shawn Porras; step-father, Fred Cahhal; and a host of other loving family members and many good friends.

Marty was preceded in death by his father, Merle Little; mother, Esther Cahhal; and his siblings, Timmey Little, Patricia Little, and Merle Lee Jr.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2020, also at Hamilton’s, with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Marty.
