Cynthia Ann Wood, 64, was born February 11, 1956 in Des Moines, and passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 at her home.

Cyndi worked at Prairie Meadows for 25 years, and most recently worked at Wells Fargo for the past few years and developed several special bonds with people at both jobs.

Anyone that was blessed to have known Cyndi loved her. She wore many different hats for different people and was the most selfless, giving person you will ever meet in your life. Cyndi would go without just so others could have not only what they needed, but what they wanted. She had the biggest heart and was so very loving to everyone she met – she would truly give you the shirt off her back if it would bring you happiness. Cyndi was lovingly known as “Aunt Ninny” by so many people, especially her extended family and little children. Above all else, she treasured time spent with her family, and most definitely her grandchildren who were her greatest gift of all. Along with Brandi and Chad, They were the loves of her life.

Cyndi is survived by her loving daughter, Brandi (Chad) Rinehart; beloved grandchildren, Erica and Colby Rinehart; mother, Delores Kendall; siblings, Robbie Lewis, Tammy (Joel)Peters, Kevin(Brenda) Kendall and Melissa (Tony) Holdefer; special cousins that were more like siblings, Mark and Sandra Grunsted, and their daughter, Destiny, whom Cyndi loved as another granddaughter; Brandi’s close friends, known as “The Girls” who Cyndi loved like her own; numerous nieces and nephews; other loving relatives and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Kendall; brothers, Baby Boy Lewis and Billy Kendall and sister, Kathy Kendall.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 pm Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. The family will greet friends prior from 1 to 3 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be distributed amongst numerous charities in loving memory of Cyndi as , although she had little to give, she was always known to be donating to United Way, Good Samaritan, St. Judes and several other charities that she would find as she was watching all of her favorite TV shows.
