We are very saddened to learn of Carolyn's unexpected passing. She was a courageous soul that enlisted in US Air Force as a young woman to serve her country and went on to serve her community as a health care professional. The family was very proud of her. Sincere condolences to the Gustavo Martinez family as well as the Wood family on the loss of our dear prima.

I am so sorry to have lost such a dear friend. I always looked forward to seeing Carolyn and hearing about her family and her plans. She really enjoyed cooking out, camping, and spending time with her family. I will always remember her smile. She was always there when you needed her. She was a truly compassionate and caring nurse as well as friend to all and a stranger to none.

We had many good times back in the day, from junior high through college. We were even NMSU roommates one semester. I remember her as very honest, loyal, brave, athletic, with a great sense of humor and always ready for mischief. She was a special person. My deepest condolences to her entire family.

It is so sad to hear about Carol's passing. She was my high school classmate and we graduated many years ago. I kept up with what she was up to through her brother Leroy and his wife Donna. Since junior high she became a good friend of mine. I will always remember her as a beautiful & kind soul who was humble and so nice to be around with. I will pray for the healing of her family. Rest In Peace Carol.

I am so sorry to hear about Carol. She lived down the road from me. She was a year younger.....I remember all the good times we had as kids. Her mom drove a school bus. On the weekends, we would help Carol clean the bus, but it was mostly to play house or school. I was with Carol the day she got her foot (ankle) in the bike. Thats where that big scar on her ankle was from. I hadn't seen her since 1979, when I graduated....thought of her always....wondering where she had gone. Many condolences and prayers to the family.

I am Carols first cousin from New Mexico. I loved Carol. She never failed to contact us when she came home to visit. A few years ago she visited my mom who lives in a senior residence in Santa Fe. We were all so grateful for that visit. I didnt see Carol very much as adults but loved being with her when I did. I have many happy memories of us spending the summer months at grandmas house. Carol you were special in my heart and I will always remember your thoughtfulness. Your visits throughout the years were very special to us. The angels in heaven are celebrating with your presence.
