Both Virginia and I were saddened to learn of Larrys passing. To his wife Charleen and their children, we express our sincere condolences.
We have known Larry & Charleen for over 60 years and during such time, we had great fun together. We remember our legendary card games (CANASTA).
As the game would begin, Larry, who would refer to himself as Big Lorenzo always seemed to be the lucky player with the winning hand. His winning caused great calamity among our opponents (Wives). We both discovered how wonderful it was to win.....just once against our unlucky ladies.
Larry and I shared a mutual interest in cars. But he was far more knowledgeable than I in knowing how to build one and make it run....FAST! At our last meeting a few years ago, we visited a local Drive-In and admired the restored cars of the 50s and 60s. We had a great time.
We shall always remember Larry for his kindness, warm personality and most importantly, his friendship.
