Em How, age 82, was born October 2, 1937, and he passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
He was a very talented gardener. He will be lovingly remembered as a good provider who raised eight children. He was a very independent and strong-willed person who enjoyed a good argument and a good laugh.
Em is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Phang; children, Vong (Jeandy) How, Phal (Savann) How, La How, Vann How, Samnang How, and Samaly How; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sister, Ann Chuop.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Oeun and Veth How, and his granddaughter, Nia How.
