James Robert Goetz
May 22, 2020
James Robert Goetz, passed away at the age of 51 on May 22, 2020 in Des Moines, Iowa.
James was born in North Platte, Nebraska on March 29, 1969 to Robert and Jean (Eakins) Goetz.
James loved buying and selling antiques. He was extremely knowledgeable in this area and loved to share his treasured finds! He also loved horses, and worked with them over the years. James was very social, and had a smile that could light up a room. He enjoyed spending time with friends, sharing an ice tea. He knew nearly all of the East Village Business owners and networked them regularly.
He loved talking about restaurants and all the delicious foods he tried. His favorite place was Skips, which he enjoyed with his good friends from church. The people from Jim's church were very important to him. He loved his church. He had a couple of True adventures in Chicago which he delighted in talking about. Jim was a gregarious, outgoing friend to many. He will be missed tremendously.
James is survived by his siblings, John Goetz and Julie Goetz; and his nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew, and a niece.
At this time there will be no formal services held. Please check back for memorial service information.

Sincere condolences to family and friends on the loss of James. I will miss his livestreams and jewelry offerings. He is gone way too soon, but Id bet he is in greater peace where hes at than we are down here in this troubled world. Rest in eternal peace, until we meet again.

Words can not fully describe the sadness I feel over James passing. James was such a gentle soul, we needed more James in this world and we lost the only one we had. Good bye my Freind, good bye my Brother. May you atleast find peace in Heaven and may God give you an Antique Store up there. You will be missed more than you know...

James was an awesome genuine good-hearted individual. You could absolutely tell that he loved nothing more than to travel and collect antiques. His best quality I believe was his goofiness. I just loved to come and chat with him when available and Ill miss his live-streams. What an awesome man this world has lost - RIP James :(
