Frances “Fran” Ann Harkin passed away at her home on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at the age of 72. Fran was born on February 10, 1948 to Paul and Armella (Meister) Dooley in Des Moines Iowa.
Fran graduated from East High School in 1966. She worked for the State of Iowa in the Department of Inspections and Appeals until she retired. Fran loved to paint, especially with acrylics. She also enjoyed clogging with her daughter, Kristin.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristin (Klarrisa LeJune) Harkin; siblings, Paula (Bob) Dishman, Betty Schumann, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. Fran was preceded in death by her parents.
At this time no formal services will be held.

I worked with Fran in Inspections and Appeals. We just saw each other a few months ago and we talked about days gone by and played catch up on people we'd worked with and who had already retired. So sorry to hear of Fran's passing.

Kristin, I am so sorry for your loss. You and your mom were so good to me as we gathered in your home many times before and for dance. She was so talented, painting many of our backdrops. I saw her at Darlenes passing and she was so grateful for You, life, and those in her life. My prayers will be with you Kristin. Perhaps she and Darlene are crafting something beautiful. Peace,
