James F. Coleman, Jr.

James F Coleman Jr., 86, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on May 14th 2020 at Senior Suites Assisted Living.

Jim graduated from East High School. He served for the U.S. Army in Korea. He attended AIB College. His family was his everything. He enjoyed sports including the Chicago Cubs, the Iowa State Cyclones, and also horse racing, where he owned two race horses.

Jim leaves his wife, Delores; daughters, Jolene Bowlin, Julie (Kevin) Lancial; 5 grandkids, Lisa (Shay) Noel, Lindsey Bowlin, Lauren Bowlin, Hailey Bowlin, and Brandon Bowlin; 3 great-grandkids, Mason Bowlin, Brayden Noel, Presley Noel; and a multitude of friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Valborg Coleman and James Coleman, Sr.; his brother, Ronald Coleman; and his grandson, Eric Lancial.

There will be a private family ceremony at Highland Memory Gardens on May 20, 2020.

I met Lindsey recently and I think the world of you girl. I'm so sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and your mom and family. You will see him again someday. But for now he is your angel
